Week 36

A Look Back

It's been 5 years since we have moved to Canyon.  A lot changes in five years.  It's hard to believe how much the kids have grown.

Week 35

School Starts!

I'm a mess.  Brenna's first day of kindegarten and Bryce's last first day of elementary school - It was great.  It was exciting.  It was sad.  It was happy.  I cried.  My kids are growing up so fast.  I just want to be able to enjoy all the moments and slow time down so that I have time to let all the memories soak in.  I want to hold these moments close forever.  I hope this blog helps me accomplish this.

Week 34

Corpus Christi

We took a mini family vacation to Corpus Christi.  I went to play tennis in the Little State Tournament.  My family came with me.  It was a great weekend in my opinion.  My team came in fourth.  My family got to see South Texas.

The Gulf

Bryce holding onto Brenna so she doesn't fall in.  I told him that was nice.  He said, "I didn't want her to get wet if I couldn't get wet."  Gotta love brothers!  He is a wonderful big brother to her.

Week 33

Dad's Birthday Celebration
(a little early)

Dad turned 65 this year.  We celebrated when Tony and Jane were here.  It was fun.  We bought 7 cans of silly string.  We waited until Dad had gone to the grocery store.  When he came back, we ambushed him.  Enjoy the pics.  We got him really good.  I did make sure that he had a can and didn't stay "unarmed".

Thanks to Mollie, we had a delicious cake to eat after cleaning up all the melted silly string!

Happy Birthday, Gramps!

Week 32

Week 32

Baker Reunion and Gramps come to visit

Dad came to Texas.  My kids love for my dad to visit.  They are ready for him to move back.  In fact, Bryce decided that he could wait tables at Pepitos Restaurant.  Dad isn't so sure about that part.  While he was here, we had the Baker Family Reunion.  It was great to get to see everybody, but the best part was to have Dad here with Tony and Jane.  It would be nice to have my family closer, but I treasure the time I have with them even more since they are far away.

My Grandma with her all of her great grandkids

Panhandle Plains Museum - Gramps telling them all about how life works.  Hope they listened better than I did.

Week 31

The Summer Olympics

All of my family enjoys watching the Olympics.  The kids really enjoyed it this summer.  Brenna especially loved gymnastics.  She had to be in her leotard every night that the Olympics were on.  She set up her "floor"  and completed the same routines as the gymnasts on t.v.  It was great fun watching her.  Bryce had to get in on the action also.  He tried his hand at gymnastics, too.  He'd rather be playing tennis or baseball.
