Week 20

May is a busy, crazy month!  There is so much going on.  We stay busy.  One of the highlights of the last week was ....

Preschool Graduation

Brenna was excited and I was overwhelmed that she is going to kindergarten.

The Horny Toad
We found one in our yard. Bonnie came and helped the kids catch him and mark him. Bryce held him. Brenna looked at him. They released him under the mesquite tree in the lot.

3rd Grade Field Day

Bryce, Brody and Lane were in a group for field day.  They tossed the chicken,  kicked their shoe, ran fast, and grabbed the flag.  It was a great day!

Week 19

Brenna's 5th Birthday

We had Brenna's party on May 5th.  It was a little late and she wasn't thrilled that we moved her birthday.  She wanted the princess bouncer.  We planned on it.  They cancelled it due to windy weather.  It turned out not to be windy.  Just really hot!!  Thanks to friends and family we pulled off a spur of the moment carnival.  Complete with duck pond, balloon animals, face painting, toy walk and the grand prize game, the party went off without a hitch.  The kids enjoyed it (even the big boys).  Brenna said it was better than the bouncer.  I'm glad she had fun.  She only turns five once.  Happy Birthday Brenna!

Week 18

Bryce had two friends spend the night.  Colton, Catch and Bryce had a ball.  There was a big water fight on our street that evening.  Max and Macy joined in.  Jack stopped by for a little bit and got soaking wet before getting back in his mom's car.  The boys had fun playing kickball and wii.  I fell asleep only to be awakened by the sound of boys playing.  It was 3:00 in the morning.  They finally gave it up about 4:00.  Great memories were made that night.

My baby got her ears pierced.  Thank you Meme for going with us.  This was Brenna's present from Meme.  Meme got her ears pierced a second time before Brenna got hers done.  That is probably the only reason that Brenna went through with it.  While holding taggie, Brenna sat in the chair with a smile on her face until after they pulled the guns away.  She crumpled and leaned into me while crying.  Overall, she did okay.  She loves her Hello Kitty earrings.

My kids participated in AWANAS this year.  They both loved it.  I took this picture after the awards ceremony.  I hope that they go back next year.  It gives the a good foundation for life.  And by all means - we all need that.
