Week 8

Week 8

This month has been busy.  We've juggled baseball, basketball, gymnastics, AWANAS, and (of course) it's tax season.  Time seems to be speeding up in some kind of a strange time warp.  I just keep hanging on and trying to enjoy the small moments.

My baby - She goes to kindergarten next year.  Tears come to my eyes as I type that.  I can't believe it and would really like to keep her home.  She's excited and I'm trying to be.  We work on writing our letters.  I hope she has a wonderful end of preschool and enjoys her summer.  She'll be 5 in two months, and I'm pretty sure it was just yesterday that I would hold her and rock her.

Speaking of growing up, Bryce had a first milestone.  A sleepover at our house - okay, so, maybe it was more of a milestone for me.  I was TIRED on Saturday.  The last time I heard the boys was 1:30.  It was a fun evening with bowling and pizza to celebrate Bryce turning nine.  Did I mention I was TIRED on Saturday?!  Glad they had fun.

Week 7

SNOW!!!!!

We finally received some snow.  It was a dry snow.  We couldn't build an upside down snowman or anything of the sort.  The kids did get to make snow angels.  I also had a bunch of help in clearing the driveway.  Brenna swept and Bryce shoveled.  Ashley helped when he got home.  It was great having help!

Week 6

Well, it happened.  I'm behind on posting, but at least the pictures have been taken.  John and Kathy came to visit.  My kids love to see their grandparents.  Here they are with John and Kathy.  We had a lot of fun.  Basketball, birthday parties, and movies (Kathy and I went) - it was a fun weekend.

Week 5

I've made it a month.  At least, my post is early this week.  Maybe (just maybe) I'll get creative with the titles at some point in the year.

The question of the week.......

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
Oh the possibilities:  doctor, teacher, CPA, scientist, lawyer and the list goes on
I'm surprised by Brenna's answer (you'll see why as you scroll down) and pleasantly surprised that she didn't pick the trash guy because she loves the trash truck.

Reading Harry Potter - He loves them and spends time each night reading

Bryce wants to be a vet because he loves animals and wants to be around them.

In her bed with Madeline and the monkey that has been passed down.

She want to be a pizza girl cause she likes pizza.  Oh, remember when life was simple?!  I really think part of it is because they just studied the letter "P" in school and went to Pizza Hut.

I love their pictures this week.  Hope you do too.

Week 4

My 3rd grader's breakfast - waffles and milk

At the museum with Brenna's preschool class

Well, I'm posting about last week.  Whew!  What a week.  Basketball, baseball, gymnastics, AWANAS, and sickness, and (well, the list goes on).  It was crazy.  We got everything finished that had to be finished.  The house stayed messy, and everybody was tired by the weekend.  I decided I would not make them answer any question or write.  They could have a break, and I would try to take care of it for them.  Life is crazy.  I love it!  (I think).  It's overwhelming, but fun.  Uplifting, but tiring.  It's my life and this last week I hung on for dear life and watched it fly by.  Enjoy the time with your kids and your family.  I know I'm trying to.
