DHDC

I took the kids to the Discovery Center.  I forgot my camera.  All I had was my phone.  Bryce helped me take pics.  In fact, at the dinosaurs one scared him so much he jumped and the picture is all a blur.

From the bed of nails

to the climbing apparatus, the kids had fun.  Bryce blew huge bubbles (see picture below).  He even made a family duck so that his bubble wouldn't pop.

The kids and T-Rex

Brenna wasn't sure about the dinos, but it ended up okay.  I mean there were baby dino eggs.  What more does a girl need?

Patio - After

It's almost done.  If the wind would quit blowing (or at least stay around 20mph), I could finish.  I need to put a protective coat on the table.  It table was found at a second hand store.  I paid $30.  With a little elbow grease it turned out pretty good.  I like it.  By all means, my patio wouldn't win any awards, but we like it and it is a great place to sit and watch the kids play (if the wind would stay around 20mph).

The after - the cement still needs to be cleaned and we need plants (remember the wind)

Our new place to enjoy a meal outside.
My kids did a great job painting the chairs and table.  Who wouldn't want to relax out here?

Patio - Before

Our patio needs help.  At the very least, we needed to paint the furniture and buy some cushions.  I really wanted a table so we could eat outside.  Trixie had helped the furniture a bunch.  She ate holes and chewed everything!  Teeth marks are all over the chairs.  Okay, she also ate the walls and door.  I sanded and repainted the walls and doors (as best as possible).  I then sanded and primed the chairs.  My kids really wanted to help.  So, I got real smart and let them paint.  The chairs started out white.  Over the past couple of weeks (the wind helped to delay everything) we have painted and cleaned.  It's getting there.  Here are some of the before pics.
