Week 17

Brenna's class went to the zoo.  We also had to bring snacks this weeks.  She brought her birthday cupcakes (a little early).  She had chocolate cupcake with strawberry icing.  Each kid got a zoo animal on the top of the cupcake.  She's excited to be 5.

Bryce pitched Sunday.  I was a proud of him.  I think he did great.  Even though the game was tied, I think he did great.  In the last inning, with one out and score tied he struck out the last batters(not the only ones he struck out).  He was excited.

Week 15

Easter

Ashley's parents came up for Easter.  It was still tax season, but we still had a lot of fun.  We dyed easter eggs, threw confetti eggs, made bunny bread, and resurection rolls.  It was a great Easter

Carpet Burn  - we've all had it
It hurts.
It oozes.
It burns.
It hurts.

Bryce dove into base while playing kickball at school.  (the gym is carpeted).  The result of this action:

It took up most of his knee.  He wasn't going to tell anyone.  Thanks goodness Colton helped him get it taken care of.  He came home with a huge band aid on his knee.  Brenna was impressed.

It took a little over a week for it to heal.  Bryce was miserable for a couple of days, but learned a lesson.  He says he won't dive in the gym ever again.

Week 13

We made glow in the dark chalk (orange and green).  We added water, shook the bottle, poured it into the mold and waited.  Did I mention that we waited?  It didn't dry in the time that the instructions said.  Finally, we gave in and just colored.  This means the chalk crumbled easily and didn't last long, but the kids had fun.  They waited until night to check it out.  I had to go outside with them cause what if somebody or something got them (their idea - not mine).  Here are the results.
