Week 28

Dallas Vacation - Take 2

Here are a few more pics from our vacations. It was great fun. We ended with a night at the Great Wolf Lodge. The kids loved the water slides. I did, too. Bryce loved the Howlin' Tornado and Brenna loved the wave pool. We all rode the Canyon River Run. Brenna wasn't too sure, but she did it. What a vacation. Summer is flying by too fast. Stay tuned for more fun. From tennis to bikes - big news is coming.

His first time to drive a go-cart!  He was excited.

Week 27

July 4th - A wonderful time of year
It's hot, but I enjoy the small town celebration in Canyon and the parade. The kids enjoyed it. We watched the fireworks from the church parking lot. It was a wonderful view.

We left for vacation with Ashley's family July 5th.  My kids had never been to Dallas.  Bryce was looking forward to the Rangers' Game.  Brenna wanted to go to the American Girl Doll Store.  She loved it (a little overwhelmed, but enjoyed it).  The Rangers lost, but Bryce still had a great time.  It was extremely hot.

The boys left early so they could watch batting practice.

Before the game

The girls - we left later to try to beat the heat.  It didn't work.

While in Dallas another highlight was touring Dallas Cowboy Stadium.  We saw the locker rooms, and we got to hang out on the field.  They boys threw, kicked and probably dreamed big while there.  The girls each found a crystal off of the cheerleader uniforms.  They were excited, too.

Week 26

Slip and Slide = Summer Fun and Muddy Grass

Stampede Baseball Party

Hamburgers, Big Cookie, Friends, and Swimming - What more do you need?

The boys were out of the pool more than in the pool.   They threw balls at each other (imagine a baseball team wanting to play catch!).

Brenna - the best part of baseball was a swimming party

Bryce was in the water some.

Week 25

Swimming Lessons
Jayla taught Brenna in swimming lessons.

Day One:  Brenna says, "I can't get in the water without something like a floatie."
Jayla replies, "I'm your something."  It went okay.  Brenna did what she asked.  I couldn't ask for more.

Day Two - Day Five:  Brenna kicked and had tea parties underwater.  She learned to jump in and blow bubbles out of her nose.  She does the big kick and the frog kick.  Brenna can float.  With all that being said she still needs to practice, but boy did she come a long way!

Big Kick!

Coming up from the tea party

This week Bryce was at Basketball Camp.  I don't have any pictures, but I'll just tell you that he had a blast.

Week 24

State Baseball Tournament
June 15-17, 2012

We went to Lubbock.  We watched Bryce play baseball.  It was a bunch of fun.  The weather was good.  The competetion was good.  Brenna was good.  The boys played two games Saturday and four games Sunday.  They played teams from Seminole, Lubbock, Levelland,  and Midland.

We watched them dry the fields so baseball could be played.  What a way to dry the fields!

Bryce pitched (7 innings in two days)

Brenna ate sunflower seeds
Bryce battled at the plate.  He walked.  He got hit.  He got on base and he struck out.
It's what baseball (and life) is all about.

He slid into home.  I cheered.

Brenna and Jaekob played, ate fruit, colored and jumped in puddles (that they made from water bottles).
These two little girls did wonderful since they were at the ballpark for almost 12 hours that day.

The Stampede came in 2nd place in the 9 and Under AA Divison.  What a great way to end the season!

Week 23

It's June.  My kids are busy having summer fun.  They are growing fast, but sometimes they still seem little too me.  For example the next two pictures still make me think that they aren't too big.  The were both clean from showers.  Bryce made his hair stick up all over.  He thought it was great and wanted me to take a picture.  He will hate this later.  Brenna had to be just like big brother (surprise!).  I had to take a pic of her hair all combed.  It just doesn't seem to have the same look to it.
