Week 3

Week 3 - I'm a little late posting, but I still got it done. What a week it was! Brenna started gymnastics (see week 1), and Bryce had basketball evaluations.  It was a good week, but with a little bit of worry for me.  Brenna got sick and ran a high fever (in my opinion).  I hate it when my kids are sick.

Before evaluations - He loves his new blue basketball shoes.  His eyes lit up when he got them.  The best part for me is that Ashley bought the same shoes for racquetball.  Like father, like son.

Brenna ready for gymnastics.  She seems to enjoy it and is trying her hardest.  I love to watch her concentrate with her tongue sticking out.  I think her leotard might be the favorite part.  It's sparkly!  ( This was 12hrs before the nasty virus hit)

Okay, so the journal part of this week was a conspiracy against me!  No, I'm not teasing (well, maybe).  I asked my kids what vegetable I should never serve again.  Ashley got involved and helped our children with answers.  I'm sure this means he doesn't want to eat them either.  I love them!  It's brussel sprouts!  Reasons:  they taste horrible and I don't like them!  My family is crazy (no, not really).  I guess I won't cook them very often (if at all), but when I do they could eat a few (like my parents used to make Tony eat a few).  As for me, I guess I'll have to find a way to eat brussel sprouts on the side.

Week 2

Yep, I'm still going strong. The pics were taken, and with Ashley's help the kids told about their weeks.

An afternoon snack of yogurt - she loves yogurt.  Her week was filled with brushing her Barbie's hair, playing with her babies, shooting basketball in the grass, and mom teaching her to read.  She wanted to go the Discovery Center, but didn't get to (let me add that she never asked).  In her own words, this is how she spent her week.

Ashley and I put together a basketball goal for Bryce.  It's a little crooked and not quite finished in the picture above, but it works.  Bryce wanted to remember that he had fun at school because his class made popcorn in Mrs. Anthony's class to go with the reading passage.  He wanted to play his four favorite Wii Games - Mario and Sonic at the 2012 Olympics, Madden 2012, Disney Universe, and The Hunt Trophy Showdown

For me, I had a blast playing knockout with Bryce and his friend and also Ashley.  I enjoyed painting Brenna's toes and fingers and teaching her to recognize some words.  Time flies, but each of us just need to enjoy the ride especially the small things that happen each day.

Week 1

Well, the first week (of course - it was only week 1) was successful.  I took the pictures and the kids answered the questions.  Enjoy!

My baby that will start school in only 8 months - I cry at the thought.  Where has time gone?!

My son on his pogo stick.  He's pretty good.  I can't believe I've been blessed with him for nine wonderful years.  Can't imagine life without him!

THE QUESTION

What are you looking forward to this year?

Having lunch with Santa Claus
Gymnastics
(the next one is my favorite)
Going to WalMart (it's the little things in life - she sees the trip as a way to get a new baby)

4th grade (What!  He can't be that big!)
Going to see Mt. Rushmore (not sure that we are planning that but we might have to rethink vacation)

OH MY!

Well, I didn't blog so frequently last year.  I guess I will try it again.  Life is still moving at a flying pace.  I'm still hanging on and enjoying the ride.  The kids are growing up fast, and I need a way to help me remember the year.  I'm going to try this by documenting this year in pictures.  One a week and a question answered by my kids.  It ought to be interesting.  Bryce isn't sure we will make, but I'm gonna try.  I thought I would share these in my blog, and maybe, just maybe, I'll make it.
